Sadie Engelhardt, a sophomore at Ventura High in California, won the girls individual title at the Channel League cross country championship meet at College Park in Oxnard to help the Cougars secure the team title by a 27-60 margin against Dos Pueblos. Engelhardt covered the 3-mile layout in 16:36.68 after winning the Pacific View League title as a freshman last season at the same venue in 16:39.48, helping Ventura advance to the CIF-Southern Section Division 2 prelims Nov. 12 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
